A trip to the park-hotel Golden Beach in the village of Orlovshchina, Dnepropetrovsk region – became for me a real discovery of a place where you can fully relax in the hot summer days.
First of all, I expected a beach vacation near the pool or on the river bank, but in fact there was a huge complex for lovers of various kinds of country entertainment.
Let me tell you what Golden Beach in the Orlovshchina village is all about!
Going on vacation out of the city Dnipro
As any theater begins with a hanger – a tourist resort with a parking lot. In the middle of the forest for the huge flow of vacationers made not just a site for cars, but whole streets. And between the trees laid stone paths on which you can drive and put the car on the side of the road. In general, there is enough space for everyone, no matter what queues are standing here.
In the Golden Beach area
The area of Golden Beach is huge and constantly growing. At the entrance we were greeted by a strict control. You can’t come here with your own water and food. It is simply taken away at the entrance, offering to drink local water from coolers (free of charge), and to buy food at the food courts. I will talk about the food later – it needs a separate chapter.
Smoking here is also not allowed anywhere – there are designated places for it and according to the rules the guest may be asked to leave the hotel because of this violation!
And so, having passed the control after handing over the food, we find ourselves in the reception area. Here girls and guys with computers give out wristbands for entrance. Depending on the purpose of coming here, the bracelets are of different colors and cost – to walk by the pool, to stay in the hotel, to go to the water park, to climb in the suspended park – you just need to look around and raise your head up – then you can see everything.
Entry is paid and new locations are opening up behind the turnstile! There are places where new houses for guests are still being built, and among all this there are animals from common and exotic chickens, peacocks, ducks and geese to bison and deer (we didn’t see a bison by the way) and even a baby kangaroo.
It seemed to me that there had been a campground here before, but only now what was left of the Soviet legacy had been seriously rebuilt and modernized, as well as greatly expanded. As proof of this, I saw a clearly old building of something like a summer theater – and the access to it was just closed.
We also met animals in closed enclosures on the territory. Also for the convenience of tourists there are electric buses with electric batteries. There are places where you can rent bicycles and ride independently. And for buses and bicycles, for pedestrians there are separate roads and it is better not to break the rules. Everywhere there are signs to different locations.
Pools at Golden Beach and River Beach
There are a total of 3 swimming pools in the park hotel. The first one is near the entrance near the lake with bungalows. It is compact and there are not so many sunbeds near it. Next to the pool there is a bar and several beautiful locations where you can watch the ducks, walk along the lake promenade, take photos in beautiful hammocks.
The big pool is a little further on. It requires crossing a pedestrian bridge and we find ourselves in an area that has only just been settled. The big pool was opened on June 22, 2024. There are a huge number of sunbeds in several rows – there are even sunbeds on the grass behind the pool area.
Of course there are locker rooms and restrooms nearby. A food court for a snack. The large pool has a depth of 1.4 to 1.6 meters. It communicates with a shallower children’s pool. The water here is a pleasant color, the temperature is not warm. There is an island on the pool that can only be reached by wading.
The large pool at Golden Beach is a great location for photos, especially for girls.
If you don’t want to relax at the pool, you are welcome to the beach on the Samara River. There are fewer people, quieter, but there is a place where you can buy ice cream, rent a catamaran or jump on a large inflatable slide right in the middle of Samara. There are also motorboat rides.
After a crowded and noisy pool, it’s downright salvation for human comfort.
Water park on Golden Beach
I didn’t manage to get to the water park and I saw it walking near the main building. The water park was surrounded by a fence, there are their own pools, sun beds, and to get there you must have a bracelet of the appropriate color – it costs more than just a day visit to the territory.
The water park on Golden Beach is not very big, but to build such an object among the forest, as far as I am concerned, deserves respect.
Food at the campground
As I wrote, at the entrance they ask you to show your bag and leave all liquids – probably that’s how they fight the sneaking of alcohol into the hotel. Maybe there is alcohol in the restaurant where people live, maybe not.
It is accurate to say that the Golden Beach Park-Hotel is exclusively vegetarian food. You can buy it at the food courts. Separately, a small selection of dishes – hot dog, strudel, coffee, cocktails. And there is a buffet line. For a single price you can take as much as you like – vegetarian food, of course.

I think these are the values of the hotel owners and they are trying so hard to instill them in their guests.
Hotel Zolotoy Plyazh in Оrlovschina
People come to Golden Beach not only to relax by the pool, but also to live in a quiet environment among the forest. There are many categories of rooms and walking around the territory I saw several locations where people live.
The main building is located near the water park. It is a large multi-storey building with transparent walls. Nearby there is a smaller one and there is a restaurant (maybe there is alcohol and meat there?).
There are also houses on the lake – where the first small pool is. They stand on a separate shore on a quiet street and only those who live in these rooms have access to it. The houses are beautiful with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Feelings from visiting the park-hotel Golden Beach
Personally, I enjoyed walking and relaxing on Golden Beach. First of all, there is a parking lot, which will clearly fit many cars and no newly arrived guests will not be deprived.
Secondly, the territory is spacious and comfortable, cool, a lot of emotions will give animals and landscaping.
From not very pleasant moments – it is a big queues in toilets and changing rooms – especially women’s. Also from many people heard complaints about vegetarian food – you need to go well eaten and the impossibility to take your own water – not everyone may like the local water from the cooler. You can understand the proprietors here. The park does not need drunk people and they have the right to set their own rules, including on food.
