If you are looking for a place to swim in the heat not far from the Dnipro city, then for you will be a real discovery park-hotel complex just 10 kilometers from the Dnipro city. It is very close, and there is a perfect road leading there, so the journey will not take long.
The park-hotel is called Ozerishche, is located in the village of Chumaki, which is behind the village of Yubileyny and in addition there is an equestrian club (only I did not see any horses in the stables).
Lake and resort Ozerische
I think it was once a Soviet Union health resort, which has grown into a quite decent country club with moderate prices.
The resort has grown around a medium sized lake, which has fish and we saw several flocks of swans. Surprisingly, the lake was not blooming (it was the hottest July on record). So, there is running water here and this contributes to biodiversity.
There are fish in the lake and several flocks of swans were swimming.
To enter the territory of Ozerische, we had to pass through a barrier. No money was asked for entry. You just have to stop and say that you are going for a swim or to the hotel – whoever has plans for a vacation here.
By the way, there is a horse farm on the territory (marked on maps as Klimenko stable) and on the way to the beach you can see stables and paddocks where horses graze. It is not clear, but during this trip there was no sign of horses here at all.
I would like to joke and say that there is a meat processing plant Yubileyny nearby. That’s where all the horses are:)
Ozerische beach and its prices
On the way to the beach along the lake there were places where you can fish. In reviews on the Internet people write that this pleasure is paid. Only you have to make allowance for the fact that the review was already 10 years old, so a lot of things may have changed.
And here we are on the beach. The beach area is relatively small. It is fenced and you can’t just walk here – you have to pay for the entrance. At the improvised reception not only take money for the entrance – 100 UAH for an adult and 50 UAH for a child under 12 years old. They also sell beach snacks. You can rent a gazebo – 500 UAH, a table with sofas made of pallets, rent an umbrella – 200 UAH. Behind the beach in the parking lot there is a barbecue area – its rent is also paid.
The beach itself is sandy, the sand can be called clean and pleasant, but it gets very warm in the sun, as there is little shade. You have to hide under the growing trees, or standing mushrooms, or rent an umbrella. There is a changing room on the beach and there are a lot of people near it, because there are trees and shade.
The lake is shallow, in some places with holes. It seems to me that it is necessary to go very far to have depth, or maybe it is not found here at all. True, the water is murky as on a regular lake, but the bottom is slippery and with silt. Only the entrance is sandy and pleasant to enter, and further you can slip and especially impressionable people may not be very pleasant.
Surprised at the beach the presence of a decent toilet. It smelled nice, had water and soap.
Perhaps the toilet is like this due to the presence of the restaurant and hotel here – after all, the guests go to the common beach and use the same toilet.
Restaurant and hotel in Ozerische
If we go further inland along the lake, we find ourselves at a large asphalt parking lot, and behind it is the restaurant-hotel complex itself.
We are greeted by a perfectly clean territory, with lawns, flowers, ornamental trees. Lots of shade, warmth and birdsong. No beachwear is allowed here.
In the restaurant you can sit both inside and outside in white gazebos with wrought iron tables, chairs and sofas. Such an atmosphere of the aristocratic 20s of the XX century. There is also a bathhouse.
We didn’t go inside, so we didn’t see the interior decoration of the restaurant and hotel.
How to get to Ozerishche
I timed the time and kilometers from Ozerishcha to Slobozhansky Avenue. It turned out to be 13 minutes and 10 kilometers.
We drive along the Donetsk highway towards Podgorodnego and turn to Yubileynoye (the village where the meat processing plant Yubileyny is located), behind it is the village Chumaki. There and resort Ozerishche.
In general, the trip to Ozerishche had a positive effect. Not far from the city, pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant complex, quietness, coziness and peace overrode some inconveniences from the noisy and hot beach with a lake with a slippery bottom.
