The Orlyne Hnizdo Park Hotel, located in the Kirovograd region, is an unexpected discovery among the huge selection of hotels for a vacation outside the city.
Orlyne Hnizdo Park Hotel in Subottsi
When I was choosing a place for a vacation outside the city, one of the criteria was relative proximity to my hometown of Dnipro city, as well as the price of the vacation. Among the numerous modern hotels in the Dnipropetrovsk region, prices start at 4,000 UAH per night, and some are even more expensive. There are also much cheaper options, but those rooms were not considered because they are reminiscent of the Soviet Union, with minimal beauty and amenities.

Orlyne Hnizdo attracted us with its price/quality ratio, but in reality, everything turned out to be different… much better than it looked in the photos. The staff is friendly and will help with any questions.
The territory of Orlyne Hnizdo
The hotel grounds are small and well-kept, with lots of grass, trees, peace, and quiet. Almost the entire area is covered in shade, so even on the hottest days, it won’t be too hot here. The shore overlooks a small lake formed by the Sriblyanka River. You can go straight from the park to the shore and sit here, admiring nature.
The territory also includes the hotel building, a man-made lake with decorative colorful fish, an artificial waterfall, and several gazebos right on the water—this is a restaurant right on the river. There are swings, sculptures of gnomes, and benches. At night, the park is illuminated. Everything is kept in good condition.
There is also a swimming pool and a massage room.
You can walk around the entire territory, sit on a blanket, and relax.
Well, what would it be without a large statue of an eagle—after all, this place is called “Eagle’s Nest.”
The Sriblyanka River and the hotel on the lake

The river is home to fish that are practically tame. If you throw something edible into the water, the fish will swim up and grab it. There are so many fish that they sometimes even fight over a tasty morsel. The Samara River forms a lake here, and many private plots with houses lead to this lake. In fact, Orlyne Hnizdo is one of these plots, just a little larger than the others (and they are all large there).

This lake has very picturesque shores. You can sit and admire nature. Especially in the morning, when steam rises from the water and ducks and a family of swans swim by. You can clearly hear the birds singing.
I also saw birds of prey flying over the lake several times.

Restaurant and dining

The restaurant is located both in the hotel building itself and on the river, so in the warm season you can order food to go and eat on the pier. The menu at Orlyne Hnizdo cannot be called very large and varied, but it will be enough for a family vacation.
By the way, breakfast is included in the price. Upon arrival, the administrator will ask what type of breakfast to serve in the morning (there are several options) and at what time (from 10 to 11 a.m.). This will be the case every day during your stay.
This service was a pleasant surprise.
The restaurant inside the hotel is not particularly luxurious, but it is beautifully decorated in an antique style. It features solid wood furniture, tablecloths, and high-quality cutlery. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a hunting lodge. The restaurant also has a large stained glass window with mosaics. Portraits of famous people hang on the walls near the entrance — obviously, they have been here, and among them are not only pop stars but also politicians, including three presidents of Ukraine.
The restaurant consists of two areas: an open pier on the water and a covered pier on the water, which resembles a large gazebo. The latter has glass walls and a large fireplace, so you can relax there at any time of the year.
Swimming pool at the hotel in Subottsi
Orlyne Hnizdo has a swimming pool where you can relax on sun loungers and swim in clear water instead of the river. There are sun loungers by the pool from which you can also watch the lake. There is a changing room. However, you must wash before swimming 🙂 – these are the rules for using the pool.
Sun loungers are available for a fee. I think that not only guests swim here, but also people who come specifically for a day to swim in the pool. Before our arrival, we received a phone call asking if we wanted to reserve sun loungers for 200 UAH per day.
There is a room nearby where a massage therapist will give you a massage for an additional fee.
Rooms at Orlyne Hnizdo
The hotel rooms were a big surprise. This is because the interior of the room looked worse in the photos than it actually was.
In reality, the furniture is not new, but it is made of real wood. There is a bed, a wardrobe, bedside tables, and comfortable armchairs. There is air conditioning and a TV, a toilet and shower in the room. Hot water, a hairdryer, an iron, a kettle, and a set of coffee and tea are free of charge. The minibar is available at an additional cost (and the prices are reasonable).
Everything is clean and disinfected—the room was just cleaned before we checked in.
So I think this is a high-quality hotel for a reasonable price! We stayed in a Standard room.
How to get to Eagle’s Nest
Hotel geolocation – https://maps.app.goo.gl/qT2sfRz7FNActJm6A
It is 220 km from Dnipro to Subottsi via Oleksandriya. The road is good, so the trip will take no more than 3-3.5 hours. There is no public transport here, so you will have to get there by car.
It is 30 km from Kropyvnytskyi to Subottsi, and I think that people often come here from this regional center for a couple of hours — to a restaurant or swimming pool, to cancel an event, or just to relax.
