There are three monuments to Steve Jobs in the world. One of them is located in Odesa, Ukraine. Steve Jobs never visited Odesa and Ukraine and probably did not know about the existence of this city. Moreover, it is not a classic monument, but an unusual sculpture in the form of a palm with the Apple logo cut out in the middle.

Why a palm? The monument’s creator explained that Steve Jobs always gestured a lot, and this is how he captured this extraordinary man.
The sculpture was installed on October 5, 20212, on the initiative of students from the State Academy of Technical Quality Regulation, in front of the dormitory of this educational institution.
The monument to Steve Jobs in Odesa is made of metal parts of various purposes. Car, motorcycle, and bicycle parts were brought to the studio of the monument’s author, Kirill Maksimenko, by residents of the city, after which they were welded together. The opening in the palm is unusual. From the street side, this apple is the logo of Steve Jobs’ company, and from the back side, it is a heart. A child can climb inside, and the sculpture itself is more than 2 meters high and weighs 230 kg (although other sources claim it weighs 330 kg). At the bottom of the sculpture is the inscription “Thank you, Steve” in Russian and English.

“Thanks, Steve” – Probably in honor of those wonderful devices created by Jobs.
The monument also provides Wi-Fi, making it very valuable for students, tourists, and city residents, and neon lighting operates at night.
The monument to Steve Jobs in Odessa is located at 74 Novosilsky Street.
