On February 24, 2025, an art object was opened at the South Passenger Station in Kyiv to the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion. The installation once again reminds of the invasion war and that no citizen of Ukraine should and will be forgotten.
A large heart made of LEDs, shimmering with red and white light as if pulsating. The shimmering of the heart is accompanied by a quiet, unobtrusive music – like the beats of a living heart. It symbolizes those people who died for the freedom of Ukraine. They are military, civilians, people of different ages and professions. From Uzhgorod to Luhansk. The life of the installation is indefinite. It will be removed only after all the names of those killed by the aggressor are shown. Anyone can send a person’s data using a special form on the website or using a qr-code. During the first week of the Heart of Ukraine installation more than a thousand people left the names of their friends, relatives, acquaintances and loved ones, and this number is growing every day.
On the opening day, the first 60 names of the victims of the Russian war were shown. These are the fallen railroad workers, all of whom died in three years, 818 people.
